Bloomz wowed me! Normally, I doze off during those teacher professional development days. Not this time. I recently had the opportunity to see a demo of a new parent communications mobile app. Founder, Chaks Appalabattula in Redmond, Washington wanted to connect with his child’s classroom in a private, secure way. His creation, Bloomz, is a easy to use, sophisticated app for the teachers and parents of the social media generation. And, its FREE!
The Bloomz app allows teachers to communicate in a variety of ways: photo sharing, class calendar, text alerts and emails. Teachers can use it for volunteer sign-ups and parent-teacher conference scheduling. You can elect to allow parent comments or “likes”.
